Flashes of a plan, unevenly run, for the 49ers: C+.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The 49ers did exactly that with David Walker in Round 3, Pick 11. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

Getting King where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
