Grand theft in Round 6, Pick 39: the 49ers steal Anthony and grade out a D-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The 49ers did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need Nugent to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

They banked enough surplus on Anthony to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
