The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Darius Alexander at No. 75 regardless, 57 picks early.

Wilson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
