A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The 49ers did exactly that with Red Murdock in pick No. 127.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
