Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The 49ers spent pick 237 on R.J. Oben, a name the board had a full 147 spots lower.

The Monangai pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
