Nobody else had R.J. Oben anywhere near pick No. 255. The 49ers did, by 129 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

However the rest shakes out, Williams at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
