The 49ers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+.

Nobody had Dayon Hayes this high, and it is not close. The 49ers reached 100 spots to get him at pick 193. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

Mullings falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The 49ers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
