If confidence were a draft strategy, the 49ers would have aced it. Barryn Sorrell at pick No. 249 is 66 spots clear of where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
