The 49ers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the C.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The 49ers spent slot 228 on Nohl Williams, a name the board had a full 51 spots lower. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They banked enough surplus on Pierce to cover a lot of smaller sins.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
