The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Singleton: B.

Call it larceny. Nicholas Singleton sat on the board until pick 247, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Lachey pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
