A sensible, unshowy class lands the Steelers a B-.

The Steelers did not so much draft Joe Milton III as overpay for him, 34 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

The Frazier pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at safety, edge rusher and other spots. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Walker that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
