Draft Grade — Broncos

FutureA
Grand theft in pick No. 108: the Broncos steal Bryant and grade out a A-. The Broncos ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Bryant falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Emery Jones and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Emery Jones
In pick 23 they get a cornerstone up front, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick55
Rnd2
Tre Harris
Tre Harris slipping to the Round 2 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick76
Rnd3
Shilo Sanders
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Shilo Sanders. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick87
Rnd3
Brant Kuithe
They paid sticker price for Brant Kuithe in the 87th pick, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick108
Rnd4
Jacobee Bryant
You do not let a cornerback like Jacobee Bryant reach Round 4, Pick 12 and blink. They did not. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick151
Rnd5
Reuben Fatheree II
Reuben Fatheree II in No. 151 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick182
Rnd6
Khordae Sydnor
Khordae Sydnor at the 182nd overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
