Walker should have been long gone. The Panthers pounced, and earned a B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Panthers watched Jalon Walker slide 29 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Lacy left real value on the table behind him.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 9 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
