You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Commanders did exactly that with Oluwafemi Oladejo in slot 159. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Bryant pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with tight end the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
