Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bengals were there to profit. Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 106 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 191st overall pick.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Spending an early pick on safety with cornerback, tight end and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
