It is the swing that defines the weekend: Tykee Smith in the 182nd pick, a good 135 spots before the room expected him.

Whatever Drake Maye becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
