You could see the war room lean forward. Ennis Rakestraw Jr. at No. 61 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They are betting Lee proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
