Nobody else had Clay Webb anywhere near Round 6, Pick 29. The Commanders did, by 38 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
