Thirty-one other rooms let Jeffrey Bassa slide, and the 49ers were the ones holding the card at Round 7, Pick 10. Highway robbery. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Reaching for Turner left real value on the table behind him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Kenneth Grant and all.
