The Quinn Carroll pick is the one that will follow the 49ers into the fall. They took him 45 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

That Smith pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
