Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Chiefs were there to profit. Sheridan Jones, the No. 214 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 247th overall pick. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
