The Titans won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Titans took Barryn Sorrell a full 87 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

On value alone, Phillips makes the weekend a net positive. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The veteran additions, Deonte Banks chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
