The trade table was a mismatch, and the Packers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

The Hicks pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, wide receiver and other spots. That Brownlee Jr. pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Every board in the league had Wallace lower, and that gap is the story.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
