If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Malachi Lawrence at Round 2, Pick 25 is 22 spots clear of where he belonged. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

On value alone, Lee III makes the weekend a net positive. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
