The Chargers won the night they stopped Clarke from sliding. Grade: D+. Somebody in slot 247 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chargers sat still while Peter Clarke, the No. 77 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
