Sampson should have been long gone. The Giants pounced, and earned a A-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Dylan Sampson had no business being available in pick 153, and the Giants did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

If Thomas pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The veteran additions, Pat Surtain II chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, JT Tuimoloau and all.
