There is conviction, and then there is this. The Patriots took Julian Fleming a full 138 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The Smith steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
