After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. If McCaffrey pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Bullard falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
