The Texans robbed the room for Smith. Final grade: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Texans were there to profit. Brashard Smith, the No. 108 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 5, Pick 26. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They are betting Sheppard proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
