Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Raiders.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Raiders would have aced it. Caleb Rogers at the 98th pick is 107 spots clear of where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In No. 6 they get a lead back with juice. A real need, handled.
Pick58 Rnd2 Darien Porter
Darien Porter in the 58th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jack Bech
By-the-book stuff, Jack Bech at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick89 Rnd3 Charles Grant
No edge and no loss on Charles Grant in pick 89; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick98 Rnd3 Caleb Rogers
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Caleb Rogers well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jaylin Lane
A reach on Jaylin Lane in pick No. 108; the board had better options right there. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick116 Rnd4 Bhayshul Tuten
They reached a country mile for Bhayshul Tuten at Round 4, Pick 14, and the board is aghast. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick180 Rnd6 Kain Medrano
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kain Medrano. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick213 Rnd6 Desmond Watson
A big swing on Desmond Watson at slot 213, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick215 Rnd6 Bilhal Kone
They talked themselves into Bilhal Kone at the 215th pick, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick222 Rnd7 Roc Taylor
They reached into another round for Roc Taylor, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
