The Saints let Mondon Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B-. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Saints watched Smael Mondon Jr. slide 89 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
It is not that Mukuba is a bad player; it is that the Saints had louder needs to answer first.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
