The trade table was a mismatch, and the Bears were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Simpson.

If Powers-Johnson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Adding Trey McBride by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
