Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Ravens: B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Ravens would have aced it. Tyler Batty at No. 212 is 27 spots clear of where he belonged.

Neal at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Nic Scourton
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick59 Rnd2 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Devin Neal
Nice patience on Devin Neal, who had no business lasting to pick 91. The roster fit checks out.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jaylin Lane
Jaylin Lane at No. 129 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick136 Rnd4 Sai'vion Jones
A straight-up fair deal on Sai'vion Jones at the 136th pick, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick176 Rnd5 Willie Lampkin
Willie Lampkin at pick No. 176 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick183 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
No drama and no debate, Jaylen Reed went about where he belonged in pick No. 183. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick203 Rnd6 Simeon Barrow Jr.
A wild overpay on Simeon Barrow Jr. in slot 203, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick210 Rnd6 Caleb Ransaw
Caleb Ransaw at the 210th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick212 Rnd6 Tyler Batty
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Tyler Batty. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick243 Rnd7 Jabbar Muhammad
Good price on Jabbar Muhammad in No. 243, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
