The phones were a trap the Broncos kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

The whole projection now runs through Michael Penix Jr.; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Barner to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

They banked enough surplus on Hart to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
