The Dolphins won the night they stopped Smith-Wade from sliding. Grade: B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Chau Smith-Wade at No. 186 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will need McLachlan to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
