The Steelers torched the value chart for Roger Rosengarten, taking him 28 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

Getting Bullard where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Steelers indulged a want in Rosengarten while a need in interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
