Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Browns and Neal: B-.

When a board-topper like Devin Neal slides to No. 191, you do not overthink it, and the Browns did not. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Rogers has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In pick 3 they get a disruptor off the edge. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick34 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
Good price on Tate Ratledge in No. 34, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick65 Rnd3 Jalon Walker
Somehow Jalon Walker was still sitting there in slot 65, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick93 Rnd3 Colston Loveland
Colston Loveland at pick No. 93 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick105 Rnd4 Blake Miller
A wild overpay on Blake Miller in the 105th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Danny Stutsman
The board fumbled Danny Stutsman all the way to the Round 5 slot, and they scooped it up. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick177 Rnd6 Kevin Winston Jr.
Circle this one: Kevin Winston Jr. at Round 6, Pick 2 is a fall that decides a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick191 Rnd6 Devin Neal
They robbed the room for Devin Neal here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
Pick206 Rnd6 DJ Campbell
A reasonable price with a little left over, DJ Campbell in pick No. 206. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick214 Rnd6 Stone Handy
Stone Handy at Round 6, Pick 39 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick215 Rnd7 Will Rogers
A big swing on Will Rogers at No. 215, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
