When a board-topper like Ryan Fitzgerald slides to the 219th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Giants did not.

Every board in the league had Smith lower, and that gap is the story. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Campbell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver still on the board.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
