A solid, sensible weekend for the Steelers: B.

The Xavier Thomas pick is the one that will follow the Steelers into the fall. They took him 27 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Frazier pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Cowing pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Job largely done: safety settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
