A franchise passer in Williams headlines a F weekend for the Bears.

Somebody took the Bears to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.

Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. If Rice pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
