The Packers clearly saw something nobody else did in Tyler Owens, taking him 36 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Brade pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In pick No. 25 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value.

Braden Fiske at the 58th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
