Mitchell should have been long gone. The Bills pounced, and earned a B-.

Somebody in Round 2, Pick 28 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bills sat still while Adonai Mitchell, the No. 32 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with offensive lineman, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

The Watson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with linebacker the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
