The Cowboys got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Cowboys did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

The Kneeland pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback still on the board. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Smith pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
