The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They will need Tagovailoa to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On value alone, Wilson makes the weekend a net positive.

The veteran additions, Breece Hall chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
