You build a draft on nights like this. Mitchell Evans had no business being available in the 197th pick, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Reaching for Hemingway left real value on the table behind him. The veteran additions, Joe Alt chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
