The Bears turned the phones into found money: A-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Bears were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Williams has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

The veteran additions, Chris Olave chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
