The rest of the league had time to spare on R.J. Oben; the Bears did not wait, grabbing him 140 spots ahead at pick 242.

Landing Giddens that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Joe Mixon leading the way.

In the end it comes back to Luther Burden III, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
