The Bears turned the phones into found money: B+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bears took Tahj Washington a full 152 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Jalen Carter leading the way.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
