The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Michael Penix Jr., and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

On value alone, Smith makes the weekend a net positive. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

The Robinson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
