Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bengals were there to profit. Jacob Cowing, the No. 191 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 238.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They are betting Spann-Ford proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
